Who we are
Urbano Ronda is a free, independent, community app that provides timetable information for Ronda's urban bus lines and lets users share punctuality reports. It is a personal project: it is not operated by Ronda City Council or by UTE Urbano Ronda. The app is funded by Google AdMob ads.
What data we collect
No sign-up or user account is required. We do not collect your name, email, phone number or any other information that directly identifies you. The app does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone. The only data it handles is:
- Punctuality reports: when you report whether a bus arrived on time, late or not at all, we store that report (line, direction, stop, time and status) anonymously and in aggregate, to calculate statistics shared with all users. It is not linked to any personal data.
- Game leaderboards: if you choose to save your score, the name or nickname you type (up to 14 characters) and your points are stored and shown to all users in that game's leaderboard. This is optional; if you leave the name empty, you appear as "Anonymous". We recommend using a nickname rather than your real name.
- Advertising technical data: to show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address, device model and operating system, and your interactions with ads. We do not receive this data.
Who we share data with
We use two Google services to run the app:
- Google Firebase (Firestore): stores punctuality reports and game leaderboards, shared among all users.
- Google AdMob: shows the ads that keep the app free.

We do not use any other tracking tools, and we do not sell or share data with anyone else.
Ads and consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent notice is shown the first time you open the app, where you can accept or decline personalised ads. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Info → Ad privacy settings, and reset or turn off your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.
Links to other apps and websites
The app may open external links, such as our Instagram account. Those websites and apps have their own privacy policies, which are not under the control of Urbano Ronda.
Legal basis and your rights
- Punctuality reports and leaderboards: your decision to submit them, so the app works as you request.
- Personalised ads: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised ads, measurement and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in keeping the app free and secure.
Urbano Ronda does not store any personal data about you: reports are anonymous and the leaderboard only shows the nickname you choose. So, in practice, there is nothing to access or delete. Even so, if you have any questions or would like us to remove a leaderboard entry, write to the contact email. Advertising data is handled by Google, and you can view or delete it from your Google Account. If you ever believe your data has not been handled properly, you can contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local data protection authority.
Children
Urbano Ronda is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly request or collect personal data from children. As it requires no sign-up and collects no personal data, there is no separate processing of children's data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the way the app works changes. If there are significant changes, we will update the date above.
